Techno-Beetle is a Cyborg-class mech in Into the Breach. ==Team== The mech is available as part of the Secret Squad squad. ==Strategy== In the Secret Squad, one advantage the Techno-Beetle has is being the only mech that starts with 3HP. This allows it to be more reliable at blocking spawns than the other two cyborg mechs. Unfortunately it also has poor starting damage and, like its other Secret Squad Cyborg class mechs, suffers from a reactor core penalty to power any other secondary weapon and passive. Powering the Smoke Behind upgrade for Ramming Speed is recommended to do so early, as it is cheap and allows the Beetle to neutralize two targets for one action (in a similar vein to the Rocket Mech). Upgrading +2 Damage gives it a total potential damage output of 4 (3 direct damage + 1 bump damage), but it is rather expensive at 3 reactor cores and is only enough to kill the weaker Alpha enemies. Even with the Reactor Core penalty, consider looking for a better secondary weapon that gives the Beetle either more displacement utility (such as Wind Torrent) or damage (such as Mercury Fist).
