The Spider Leader is one of the Boss Vek from Into The Breach.
Description[ | ]
The Spider Leader starts with two spiderling eggs that hatch before the player turn. Each time the spider leader moves, it will throw two spiderling eggs onto random locations around the map. Unlike normal spiders these eggs do not immobilise adjacent units.
Unlike all other leaders Spider Leaders can only appear in the boss mission of an island. On Unfair difficulty, they cannot appear on regular missions in the fourth island.
Strategy[ | ]
Weapons that can effectively spread damage or displace multiple targets are highly recommended when facing the Spider Leader. The multiple eggs spawned at the beginning of each turn can create obstacles for your grounded mechs, and its multiple spawned Spiderlings can become troublesome if left unchecked as they spread through the map.

- Before Version 1.2.78 the Spider Leader could appear on regular missions of the fourth island in Unfair mode.
