Advanced Edition missions are only encounterable if "Advanced Missions" are on for a timeline.

Defend the Earth Mover: 1 Reputation
- An Earth Mover situated around the middle of the map periodically creates more ground in a line. The map will have many chasms when starting.
Defend the Terraformer + Terraform the grassland back to desert: 1 Reputation each, 2 in total
- A Terraformer is situated around the centre of the map and can convert 6 tiles in front of it into desert, kililng anything standing in the way. There are 20 tiles of grassland surrounding it which requires 4 turns to fully remove.
Destroy 2 Mountains: 1 Reputation
- Some mountains start off cracked at the start of the mission.
Protect the two prototype Renfield Bombs: 2 Reputation, 1 for each bomb
- Two prototype Renfield Bombs appear on the map and will explode to deal 1 damage to surrounding tiles when they are destroyed.

Defend the Train: 2 Reputation
- A two-tile long maglev moves from one end of the map to another. If the train collides with anything or is damaged, it becomes a damaged train and one reputation point is lost. Damage it again and the train is destroyed entirely, yielding no reputation.
- Lasts 4 turns instead of 5.
- Also present on Archive, Inc. and Detritus Disposal.

Defend both Solar Farms: 2 Grid Power
- Two Solar Farms must be protected, earning 1 power for each one that survives.

Cataclysm
- A row of chasms will sprout from one edge of the map and slowly consume the land.
- Missions last 4 turns under this condition.
Seismic Activity
- Each turn a set of 3 ground tiles will become chasms during the enemy turn.
Erosion Points
- The map has several chasms where Hornets and their alphas emerge. This can result in a mission having two non-psion species of flying Vek, which is usually disallowed.
Lightning Strikes
- 4 tiles in the battlefield are randomly targeted by lightning strikes each turn.
- Lightning strikes will instantly kill any unit that gets hit by them.

Windstorm (Advanced Edition)
- Two rows will be pushed by one tile in a single direction each turn.
Sandstorm (Advanced Edition)
- A row of smoke will kick up every turn from the edge of the map.
- Missions last 4 turns under this condition.
Evacuated Buildings (Advanced Edition)
- Two grid buildings away from each other are replaced with trap buildings that have 2 health. They can be detonated at will to destroy all units next to them without depleting the grid or hitting other grid buildings.
