The Scorpion is able to be encountered from the start, as it is fairly weak. Its goal is to restrict units' mobility with webbing, then attack them.
Abilities[edit | edit source]
Stinging Spinneret: Web the target, preparing to stab it.
- Damage: 1
- Range: Melee
- Special effects: Renders the target unable to move on their turn. Can be nullified if either the Scorpion or the target are moved.
Strategy[edit | edit source]
The Scorpion is dangerous during the early game for two reasons:
- If it webs one of your mechs, you may be forced to make inefficient moves with your other mechs to free the webbed mech.
- It has 3 health, and relatively few starting mechs are capable of dealing 3 damage in one turn.
Its weakness is its low mobility. If you keep your mechs just out of its movement range, it will waste its web attack on grid buildings, which are already stationary. Your mechs will then be free to push it or kill it on the following turn.
