Strategies[ | ]

  • The Rift Walkers is a basic, straightforward squad who works well as an introduction, but have a surprisingly weak mid-game and their default weapon upgrades require a lot of Reactors.
  • The squad lacks mobility, so spending Power on +1 Move or Dash or equipping mobility-oriented pilots for the Combat and Cannon Mech helps.
  • The squad's weaponry are basic, so they can swap out weapons and pilots more freely than other squads that are more synergy-dependent.
  • Islands with 2-HP or lower enemies are very manageable with the Rift Walkers, as their default weapons deal sufficient damage to kill two of them at a time with both direct damage and bump damage combined.
  • Conversely, the Shell Psion and Bot Leader are particularly difficult to deal with this squad until their weapons are upgraded or swapped out for other options later.
